Old Time Scotch Collies

Maria (call name Sky) from Montana's 2018 litter

Sunshine Farm's Old Time Scotch Collie 2018 puppy Maria (call name Sky) at 10 months

Sky is with an experienced Keeshond breeder and he hopes to breed Sky as well (but no, not to a Keeshond!). Sky has a really strong herding instinct but is discouraged, through training, from barking and nipping. She is very obedient and has the protective collie trait Sky has bonded with the whole family and defends her human caretakes mother from "unknown" people/dogs. She is also aware and has a good sense of a perimeter or area that she deems hers and Sky will protect against other animals from getting into this space. She loves (and destroys) toys. She knew fetch from the get go and has mastered stay, come, down, etc. She has a bell at the door she rings to go outside to potty. She occasionally has tried to abuse this bell to get some desired outside time though (oh, that teenager!) She has Wallace's shorter hair coat, more border collie than Scotch but very shiny and very easy to keep clean. She is nearly all black with white legs and white tipped curly tail like Montana. She is best friends with the cat. Sky has had no accidents in months and was easy to potty train. Her caretaker has trained Sky to tolerate him using a Dremel tool to trim her nails. She can play aggressively and gets very excited when he comes home from work or when it's time to go out.
